Position Overview:
The AVP of Operations will play a critical role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the business. This role will require an industry-savvy professional who possesses a proven track record of success in the commercial cleaning sector, ideally at the director level or as a general manager. The role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including sales, service delivery, compliance, and workforce engagement. The successful candidate will have a unique blend of compliance expertise and influential leadership to empower the workforce while ensuring adherence to established policies and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the company's ongoing strategic plans, focusing on sustainable growth and operational efficiency within the commercial cleaning sector.
- Provide visionary leadership and direction to operational teams, emphasizing excellence in service delivery, client satisfaction, and employee engagement.
- Drive business development efforts by leveraging existing industry relationships and identifying opportunities to expand the client base.
- Lead the sales function, working closely with the sales team to develop strategies for acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships.
- Oversee the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and industry regulations, ensuring consistent adherence throughout the organization.
- Foster a culture of compliance and integrity, championing ethical behavior and maintaining the highest standards of service quality.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to ensure operational effectiveness and profitability.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have experience managing within a commercial cleaning organization
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in the commercial cleaning industry, with a demonstrated history of successfully managing operations, sales, and business growth.
- Bilingual Spanish (preferred)
- Proven experience in a director-level or General Manager role within the sector.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and regulations within the commercial cleaning industry.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and empower a diverse workforce.
