Do you love finance? Our client is a growing facility service organization located in the greater Los Angeles area. They are looking for an experienced Controller who will be responsible for the organization's accurate and timely financial information. The successful applicant will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records. 


Overview of the role:

The role involves developing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for various financial activities such as budget accounting, cash management, and administration. Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning is also crucial. Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards is a key responsibility. 


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Between 10-15 years of proven work experience as a Sr. Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller.
  • Sage Intacct a big plus!
  • Understanding of financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority-setting skills.
  • Proven experience in financial project management.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
  • Must be able to communicate financial information in sound business language so people of all levels can understand.
  • Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting
  • Experience with union contracts
